AHSA Commandos Place Second in LCSAA, but First in Our Hearts

Anyone at Saturday's game knows that the Commandos are a team that play with integrity, heart, skill, and most of all, character. Although the final score on the scoreboard was BBCA 46- AHSA 16, the Commandos played the game as they have all season, with class. God has truly blessed this team with wonderful players and great athletes that know how to win with honor and take defeat with grace.

We praise our AHSA families and friends for displaying such good sportsmanship in, at times, such a difficult atmosphere.

The fact that the AHSA Commandos had so many players make ALL STATE and our own Ross Johnson make the league MVP is testament to the fact that the Commandos are a talented team with a bright future. This is only our second year of play! And look where the Lord has brought us! Acadiana home schoolers now have the opportunity to participate in varsity football with a team that is sure to be a team to be reckoned with for years to come.

Great job Commandos! Thanks to all the parents, coaches, fans, vollunteers and board for all that you have done this year!

The LCSAA season may be over, but the Commandos still have games in the National Home School Tournament in Panama City, Florida to play. Keep up the great work, team! Please continue to cover AHSA with your prayers as we travel to Florida on November 18-22, 2009 for the tournament.
