Team M.A.G.I.C. and the majority of the players got together on Friday, June 18th, at 6:30 pm at Cloverdale Park for the 2010 Team Award Ceremony. All but four players showed up to be together before the Closing Day Ceremony on Saturday, June 19th at 9:00 am at Cloverdale Park.

Each of the players received a special award representative of the value they each have on our team. The awards were simple, elegant, but beautiful, like the recepients. Missing from the event, but not from our thoughts were Marcella Gibson, Tiffanie Norris, Jessica Suthard, and Dawn Zinda. After each player received their awards and said a few words,  the teams Senior player, Holly Gautier was presented with a plaque to acknowledge her love and devotion towards the team and her teamates, along with her continued participation in PWLL for 13 continuous Seasons! Holly will soon be turning 20 years old, and the same spirit and excitement she demonstrated on the field, she will use on the field as our newest M.A.G.I.C. Assistant Coach!

I hope that you enjoy tomorrows Closing Day Ceremony, along with the "All Star" game at 10:00 am.

I look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday, June 27th at 1:00 pm at Coach Rob's house for the 2nd Annual End of Season Party.  Their home address is 9378 Cloudberry Way, Manassas, VA 20110. They will be cooking burgers and hot dogs with all the fixins! They ask the everyone bring a covered side dish or dessert to compliment the BBQ! You are also asked to bring your own alcoholic  beverages, if that's what you prefer. The San Pietro pool will be open, so bring your bathing suits for swimming and wet relaxing fun!

Team M.A.G.I.C. played The Championship game against The Rockets on Sunday, June 13th at 1:00 pm at Cloverdale Park. The day was hot and very humid, creating a harsh atmosphere to play in. Team M.A.G.I.C. held they're own during the entire game, only to loose by a score of 12 to 6! This gave Team M.A.G.I.C. a 2nd place ranking in The Championship Tournament!

I, along with Coaches Bill and Rob are so very proud of all of our girls and the way they continue to strive to get better and have a positive attitude. Our only sour note to the season was the injury that Kierra Bradley sustained on our last game against The Rockets (and by the way, I don't care what the Umpire said, Kierra was SAFE AT HOME PLATE!) We pray that she will have a quick and full recovery, so she can join us again next year!

Our last get together will be Friday, June 18th at 6:30 pm at Cloverdale Park. We will hand out awards to all the players and talk about the season and next year to come. Closing Day Ceremonies will be on Saturday, June 19th, at 9:00 am at Cloverdale Park and the "All Star" game will follow the ceremonies at 10:00 am.

Team M.A.G.I.C. has finally come "ALIVE" again in the Championship Tournament. Forced to play in the loosers bracket with a loss against The Outlaws, Team M.A.G.I.C. has now knocked two teams out of the Tournament. The Shooting Stars on Tuesday, June 8th with a score of 12 to 11 and The Vipers on Wednesday, June 9th with a score of 12 to 0!

The next game is scheduled for Thursday, June 10th at 6:00 pm at Leitch Park against The Outlaws. This is a "Do or Die" game for both teams. Each team has one loss, and another loss will knock them out of the Tournament. Team M.A.G.I.C. needs to bring their "A" Game Attitude displayed in the win against the Vipers, where everyone hit and no defensive mistakes were made!

Get some rest, be at the field by 5:30 pm and let's continue our Winning Streak towards the Championship!

The 2010 Championship Tournament began on Saturday, June 5th at Cloverdale Park. Team M.A.G.I.C. played The Outlaws in what proved to be a very competitive game. Team M.A.G.I.C. began the game with 6 runs in the 1st inning! The Outlaws came back and the rest of the game became a Defensive and Offensive game. The last inning (Unlimited) ended up in a tied game, forcing extra innings!

The extra inning brought The Outlaws 1 additional run to give them the win 12 to 11. The game could have gone our way as well. Team M.A.G.I.C. looked like the same , aggresive team which started the 2010 season.

The next game is scheduled for Tuesday, June 8th at 6:00 pm at Leitch Park. The game will be against The Shooting Stars, the #4 Seed (we will be Home team because we are #3 Seed). All players are to be at the park on Tuesday by 5:30 pm for Warm ups. Team M.A.G.I.C. must win this game in order to stay in the Championship Tournament.

Rest up, and bring your "A" game on Tuesday!
